Two weeks ago Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley's proposed to reduce the State mortgage interest deduction (MID) for many Maryland homeowners.
The real estate market is in a precarious condition. The real estate industry represents approximately one-fifth of our GNP. If we are serious, if our elected officials are serious, about generating an economic recovery, this is not the time to make radical changes. In fact, the Governor should look to the real estate industry as the basis for economic recovery, not as a short-term and short-sighted solution to a problem that has been growing for a long time.
We're planning a Rally to "Preserve Maryland's Mortgage Interest Deduction" in Annapolis tentatively scheduled for February 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m
